Loon Kaboon kicked off in November 2020 as a little lockdown project to alleviate boredom. Since then, it has grown into a real-life business. Loon Kaboon is now an active part of the small business community; with monthly market market appearances, some lovely press features, and stock in other small businesses around Ireland!
Let’s chat with Nat:
“Welcome to my little shop! LK is a lockdown business that I started after returning home to Dublin from LA. It was primarily a creative outlet for me during lockdown evenings, when nobody could head out or do much.
I draw inspiration from all sorts of things, primarily pop culture influences, Irishisms, and landscapes. I’m constantly trying out new illustration and typography styles. One of my fave things is reimagining characters and scenes from films in my own style, and fusing funky backgrounds and colours with groovy fonts.
I’m huge on sustainability, so I’m making all the effort I can to use ethically sourced, eco-friendly products for all of my stock at LK. I use carbon-balanced paper for my prints and cards, biodegradable pockets to keep them safe during postage, and recycled and recyclable envelopes for art prints and greeting cards as they make their way to new homes. It goes without saying, I also love doing custom commissions and creating personal pieces that people connect with. I will illustrate pretty much anything, so pop me a mail if you’re interested in getting a custom piece!
Hope you like the cards and prints!
